The Kiddie Tractor Pull drew possibly the highest numbers to date Monday night at the Moniteau County Fair, California, where approximately 89 competitors pedaled their hearts out with hopes of achieving the best pull in their weight division.
"We sure had a big bunch," Event Coordinator Chuck Inglish said. "Everything went well."
Entrants competed in four weight divisions: 0-49 lbs., 50-75 lbs., 76-100 lbs., and over 100 lbs. The top three finishers (with the longest pulls) in each division were presented trophies, while each participant received a certificate for free ice cream or yogurt from Burgher Haus.
The winners of each class are as follows.
Out of 49 competitors in the 0-49 lb. division, first place was won by Ty Dedrick; second, Bennett Gatlin; and third, Leighton Hunsburger.
With 31 competitors in the 50-75 lb. division, first place was won by Carter Petree; second, Zachary Rissler; and third, Matthew Bolfing.
Out of 11 competitors in the 76-100 lb. division, Ben Wieland finished in first place; second, Calen Kruger; and third, Quincy Frye.
The final over 100 lbs. division, which consisted of six competitors, first place was won by Kyle Riley; second, Kent Riley; and third, Seth Crawford.
