Roach charged with drug offense

A felony drug related charge was filed in Moniteau County Court on July 31, against Phillip Brandon Roach, 21, Barnett.

Roach was charged with Class C Felony Possession of Controlled Substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana.

According to court documents, while in the midst of an ongoing investigation, an officer identified the defendant, and then allegedly found metal marijuana pipes and a pipe intended for the use of methamphetamine.

A preliminary field test on the pipe showed positive for methamphetamine.

If convicted on this charge, the defendant could face up to seven years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Bond has been set at $20,000.
