Laura Casaert, a junior, at Cass Midway High School, Freeman, recently returned from a European trip with People to People International. Casaert is the daughter of John and Susan Hoback Casaert and granddaughter of former residents, Paul and Nelda Hoback.
Laura was selected as a People to People Ambassador and traveled this past summer with a delegation of 27 students and two high school teachers from the Kansas City area. Selection was based on GPA, written essay and teacher recommendations.
Countries visited were Belgium, England, France, Wales, the Netherlands and Ireland with an emphasis on education about each country's history, government and culture.
