Kirby joins Moniteau Care staff

Gwen Kirby is the new Admissions Coordinator/Social Services at Moniteau Care Center. She will coordinate all admissions to the facility, assist residents/families with discharge planning and handle marketing facility services for Moniteau Care. Kirby obtained a degree in social work from the University of Central Missouri. This is her first opportunity to utilize her degree in long term care.

Kirby loves getting to know the residents and families and assisting with their needs. She also said, "I am enjoying being part of a great team who truly care about the people in our care."

Kirby is originally from California and now resides here with her husband, Joe. They have three children Lizzy, 18, Sam, 14 and Sarah, 8. She enjoys following her children's sports activities. Lizzy runs cross country/track for MSSU; Sam plays football and Sarah plays soccer.

Kirby shared she is excited to be back to her community and utilize her social work skills with the residents and families at Moniteau Care. She said, "I feel a huge responsibility to care for the residents and families as I personally know most of them."
