COLUMBIA — Making the best better for generations of Missouri 4-Hers, Ruth Ann Klatt of Russellville has been inducted into the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame.

Klatt has volunteered 52 years with the Stringtown-Corinth 4-H Club and Cole County 4-H activities. She became a charter member of the club when she joined at age 9.

As a 4-H member then, the club met in a one-room school house and members helped cut, sell and deliver wood to heat the building.

All of Klatt’s children and grandchildren have been active in the Stringtown-Corinth 4-H Club.

The family has logged nearly 400 member and volunteer years in 4-H.

The Hall of Fame recognition was made by the Missouri 4-H Foundation, which honors individuals who have created a legacy of service to 4-H by exceptional contributions.
