High Point boys and girls pocket wins

The High Point seventh and eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams hosted Our Lady of the Snows Nov. 26, where both the Bluejays and Lady Bluejays captured a win.

The High Point boys won 40-39 thanks to a last-second 3-pointer by Quinn Randall.

Trevor Porter led the Bluejays with 14 points, followed by Trey Porter with 13. Randall led rebounds with 10 and scored seven points. Breckin Blankenship pulled down eight rebounds.

The High Point girls defeated Our Lady of the Snows 33-10. Ally Harris led High Point with 15 points. Kendra Besche followed with eight and grabbed five rebounds, while Olivia Percival chipped in with six points and five rebounds. Lizzy Eidson also had five rebounds.

Previously, High Point was on the road for games against St. Andrews Nov. 21, where the Lady Bluejays captured a 32-31 win in overtime. Harris led High Point with 16 points, followed by Besche with seven points and 12 rebounds. Tristan Porter chipped in with seven points.

The Bluejays lost to St. Andrews 43-37. Trevor Porter led High Point with 13 points, followed by Trey Porter with 10. Jared Shirley led rebounds with eight. Blankenship grabbed six rebounds.

The High Point Tournament began Monday and will continue through Friday.
