Santa stopped in Jamestown to see the children Saturday, Dec. 7. The visit of Santa, assisted by one of his elves, was in the Jamestown school building. Santa listened to a long line of young people, as the parents stood by, and in many cases took a few photos.

The jolly old bearded man in red came to Jamestown in spite of the cancelation of the planned Christmas parade. With a wind chill in the minus numbers, the weather was considered possibly dangerous for young and old, whether participating in the parade or observing from the sidelines.

Following the visit with Santa, many stayed in the school to enjoy a meal of a hot bowl of chili, a dessert and hot beverage, prepared by the alumni association and served by the sophomore class.
