Saturday, December 14, 2013
The ongoing snow across central and east-central Missouri will come to an end from west to east, with all snow ending by noon across the area.
The National Weather Service reports snowfall will total 2 to 5 inches across the region before coming to an end, with locally higher amounts possible. (Check links below for updates on weather and highway conditions.)
After a period of below average temperatures through the weekend, temperatures will soar into the middle to upper 40s by next Wednesday.
As of 8 a.m., electrical outages being reported around the area appeared to be few, according to a check of utility websites. However, Three Rivers Electric Cooperative reported the number of customers experiencing outages in the following counties: Franklin - 17; Gasconade - 72; Maries - 151; and Osage - 19.
At 8 a.m., Ameren Missouri indicated over 1,700 customers without electricity in the city of St. Charles. (For updates, check the utility links below.)
