About 50 City of California employees and officials gathered Friday, Dec. 13, for the annual Christmas Dinner. The event was held in the Public Meeting Room at the City Hall.

Mayor Norris Gerhart thanked the city employees and elected officials for their hard work over the last year and spoke of how much their efforts were appreciated. A blessing for the meal followed. The meal was steak, prepared by the Parks Department employees, and green beans, potatoes and a western salad prepared by Fire Chief Allen Smith. Dessert was cobbler with ice cream.

Following the dinner, a gift box from Burgers' Smokehouse was presented to each employee.
