Middle school presents Winter Memories Concert

The California Middle School vocal music classes presented the Winter Memories Concert Monday, Dec. 9, at the CHS auditorium. The event featured a variety of seasonal tunes by the sixth grade Music Connections and the seventh and eighth grade Pinto Express.

Music Connections performed "Winter Again," "Jingle Bell Dash" with Jenna Berendzen on the bells, "A Winter Wish," "Over the River," "The Holly and the Ivy" with Leah Drummond soloist, and "Christmas Wishes."

Members of Pinto Express performed "Masters in this Hall," "Winterlight" with trio of Chatman Pardoe, Emma Baer and Emily Bilyeu, "On a Winter's Night," "Silent Night" with Jacob Adams on guitar, "Peppermint Winter" with Payton Hampton soloist and Aaron Spillars on the bells, "Sleigh Ride" with instrumentalists Quinn Albertson and Trystan Hees, and "Feliz Navidad" with soloist Jack Johnston and instrumentalists Scott, Sam Smith and Kyla Mitchell.

The performances were directed by Marcia Burgher and accompanied by Stacy Friedrich.
