Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announces the following promotion

Corporal Michael P. Fennewald was promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain in his current assignment as a member of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Troopers (CVET) Unit assigned to Troop A. Fennewald was appointed to the Patrol on Oct. 20, 2002, as a member of the 80th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Zone 16, Benton County. In November 2006, he transferred to Troop F, Jefferson City, and was assigned to Cooper and Howard counties. In October 2007, he was selected as a member of the Troop A CVET Unit.
Fennewald was born in Springfield. He graduated from California High School, in California, in 1999. He attended Missouri Southern University in Joplin. Sergeant Fennewald is married to Amy (Mannigel).
