The California Pintos faced Boonville in the first round of the California 79th Annual Basketball Tournament Tuesday, Jan. 8, where they suffered a 71-44 loss to the Pirates.
California will play the winner of Thursday's semifinal game in the losers' bracket (between Versailles and Fulton) in the consolation game at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Boonville will play Southern Boone at 8 p.m. Thursday in the semifinal round of the winners' bracket.
