Area basketball results

Russellville boys

The Russellville Indians traveled to Stover Jan. 22, where they captured an 80-65 win. Chandler Wolf led Russellville with 27 points, followed by Dakota Burgess with 21 points, all 3-pointers. Zach Voss chipped in with 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Brenden Jackson had nine points and 19 assists.

The Indians hosted Calvary Luthern Friday, where they pocketed a 71-57 win. Russellville led 18-13 after one quarter, 30-23 at the half, and 50-37 after three quarters.

Jackson led Russellville with 29 points.

Russellville will host Tuscumbia Friday, beginning with the JV game at 6 p.m. and the varsity game to follow.

Jamestown boys

The Eagles participated in the CCAA Conference Basketball Tournament Jan. 21-26 at Bunceton, where Jamestown ultimately lost the championship game to Otterville 54-41 Saturday to finish in second place.

Previously at the conference tourney, Jamestown defeated Malta Bend 86-36 in the opening round Jan. 21, then defeated Bunceton 70-65 Jan. 22.

The Eagles will be on the road once again Friday, where they will play Bunceton. The girls' game will begin at 6 p.m., with the boys' game to follow.

Jamestown girls

The Lady Eagles participated in the CCAA Conference Basketball Tournament Jan. 21-26 at Bunceton, where Jamestown faced Bunceton in the championship game Saturday, and lost a close contest 66-64 to finish in second place.

Previously at the conference tourney, the Lady Eagles defeated Otterville 56-48 Wednesday, Jan. 23, then defeated Malta Bend 54-23 Thursday.

The Lady Eagles will play at Bunceton at 6 p.m. Friday.

Prairie Home girls

The Lady Panthers participated in the CCAA Conference Basketball Tournament Jan. 21-26 at Bunceton, where they ultimately lost 43-42 to Otterville Saturday, in the contest for third place.

Previously in the conference tourney, Prairie Home lost 60-38 to Bunceton in the opening round Jan. 21, then defeated Higbee 45-39 Jan. 22.

The Lady Panthers will be on the road Monday, Feb. 4, for a 6 p.m. game at Malta Bend.

Prairie Home boys

The Panthers participated in the CCAA Conference Basketball Tournament Jan. 21-26 at Bunceton, where they defeated Bunceton 81-49 for third place.

Previously in the conference tourney, Prairie Home defeated Higbee 57-30 Wednesday, Jan. 23, then lost 49-42 to Otterville Thursday.

The Panthers will play at Malta Bend Monday, Feb. 4. The girls' varsity game will begin at 6 p.m., with the boys' game to follow.
