Proctor Park restrooms locked at night

The restroom facilities at Proctor Park are now to be locked at 10 p.m. and reopened about 8 a.m. daily. This step has been taken for security purposes by the City of California as a result of several instances of vandalism committed to the park facilities.

The latest property destruction occurred on Saturday night or early Sunday morning, June 22 or 23, when unknown person or persons destroyed or damaged items in five of the six restrooms at the three locations in the park.

Other vandalism and damage which has been done at the park in the past includes destruction of electric boxes, theft of copper wire, theft of electric lights and graffitti.
