The theme for New Life Christian Center's Vacation Bible School was based on the Bible parable "The Good Samaritan" presented by Jesus in Luke 10:25-37.
It was held at the New Life Christian Center July 17-19. There were 14 children enrolled. Each evening the children were served supper. The VBS songs were led by Tracy Thompson including "The Jericho Road."
The Bible story was taught by Director Mary Shreck and acted out by the children.
The children learned the scripture verse to love God and your neighbor. Activities included making Bible figures so the parable could be retold by the children using the figures.
Horse and cart rides were given by Bill Schroer and horse, Patriot.
VBS ended Friday night with a neighborhood gathering full of games, watermelon and fun.
