The Finke Players, a group of very talented local actors, will be performing "Egad, The Woman in White" June 21-23 at Finke Theatre, California. The play features a disreputable and hilarious villain who dispatches his adversaries with nefarious ease and even seals his wife in a madhouse to steal her vast fortune. The villain battles a wicked countess in one of the most uproarious fight scenes ever staged. When all else fails, he engineers mock funerals. But he's scared of the mysterious "woman in white" who has escaped from the asylum to seek him out.

Abandoned wives, insolent servants, lawyer, hypochondriacs and many manly drawing masters parade across the stage in gales of comedy terminating only when the villain is brought to justice in an audience-cheering, outrageous and spectacular finale.

The actors include Jeremy Barnard, Dennis Donley, Nathaniel Donley, Bev Greever, Ruby Hibdon, Beth Jungmeyer, Jeff Shackleford, Darles Vernon-Walters, Barb Whittle and Desiree Wolford. Carolyn Miller and Pam Green are in charge of backstage operation and props.

The play is directed by Audie Cline and will be presented at the Finke Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday, June 21, and Saturday June 22, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23. There will be open seating, first come, first served, for the performances on Friday and Sunday. The performance on Saturday will have reserve seating. While season tickets will be honored for any of these performances, seating will only be reserved on Saturday.

General public performance tickets will also be available Saturday night. Tickets will be available at the box office, which will open at 6:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Anyone interested in buying tickets should call 573-796-2895 or 573-690-9363.
