In celebration of Flag Day, Boy Scout Troop 120 held a Flag Retirement ceremony during its Monday night meeting held at the Richard A. Schroeder Scouthouse at Proctor Park.
Throughout the year, flags are collected and stored until they can be properly taken care of. After the collecting, the scouts retired 79 flags by respectfully burning them and then burying the ashes in the ground. The Troop wants to thank everyone who donated their old and worn out flags to the Troop for proper disposal. If anyone has a flag that needs to be retired, "Give it to a Boy Scout".
