John Watson, 53 — Gov. Jay Nixon’s chief of staff — was hospitalized over the weekend after a mild stroke.
Scott Holste, Nixon’s spokesman, said this afternoon that Watson was undergoing additional tests and is expected to make a full recovery.
During his absence, many of his duties will be performed by Policy Director Jeff Harris, Deputy Chief of Staff Peter Lyskowski and other senior staff members.
