Prairie Home's Huth advances to state track championships

Prairie Home senior Trevor Huth and Jamestown freshman Mickayla Strother competed at the Class 1 Sectional Track Meet Saturday, May 11, at Boonville, where Huth finished in the top four of his event to earn All-District honors and advance to the Class 1 State Track and Field Championships May 17-18 at Dwight T. Reed Stadium, Jefferson City. Huth placed fourth in the Triple Jump with 38'4".
"Competition was tough, but Trever rose to the occasion," Prairie Home Coach Garon Overfield said.
Strother competed in the 100 Meter Hurdles, where she placed sixth with 17.45, and the 100 Meter Dash, where she placed fifth with 13.45.
Only the top four finishers at sectionals qualify to advance to state.
