Russellville athletes advance to state track championships

A number of Russellville High School athletes competed at the Class 2 Sectional Track and Field Meet Saturday at Boonville, where the top four finishers of each event qualified to advance to the Class 2 State Track and Field Championships May 17-18 at Dwight T. Reed Stadium, Jefferson City.

Finishing in the top four to advance to the state championships for Russellville in the girls' division are as follows: Hannah Campbell, third place, 100 Meter, 12.78; Miranda Hill, fourth, 1600 Meter, 5:45.16, and second, 3200 Meter, 12:34.09; Grace Young, third, 800 Meter, 2:30.10; Justice Miller, fourth, 200 Meter, 26.69; Taylor Young, third, Pole Vault, 8'; the team of Miller, Emma Koestner, Campbell and Jorden Barnhart placed second in the 4x100 Meter Relaly with 51.80; the team of Miller, Koestner, Campbell and Barnhart placed first in the 4x200 Meter Relay with 1:47.60 (new school record); and the team of Miller, Koestner, Campbell and Barnhart placed first in the 4x400 Meter Relay with 4:14.04.

Advancing to the state championships for Russellville In the boys' division is Austin Smith, who placed first in the Pole Vault with 12'6".
