A number of the Russellville High School varsity softball team members were recently named to the Class 2 All-State Academic Team.
Selected were Katie Wolken, Hannah Campbell, Staci Howard, Jamie Webster, Sierra Ferguson, Miranda Hill, Emma Koestner, Amberlyn Grellner, Micayla Gilmore and Hannah Matthews. In order to be selected, each student athlete must have met the following requirements: must be a sophomore, junior or senior; must have a cumulative GPA after the fall 2012 semester of 3.50-4.0; must start in 70% of team's games; must either be ranked in the top 25 % of class or must have attained a 24 on the ACT Test.
