'Simply Magic' theme of school concert

Thursday, April 25, "Simply Magic" was performed at the High Point R-3 School, directed by Mrs. Sherry Owens.

The concert began with the beginners band followed by the Blue Jay Band.

Songs sung by all grades included Disney songs and the Mickey Mouse club songs.

The kindergarteners opened the program singing "Heigh-Ho" and "Winnie the Pooh."

First and second graders sang "It's a Small World" and "Hakuna Matata." Third and fourth graders shared "A Spoonful of Sugar" and "Friend Like Me." The fifth and sixth grade students sang "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" and "Under the Sea." Seventh and eighth graders sang "Supercalifragilisticexpialidcocious" and "Circle of Life."

Jade Westbrooks and her mother Toni Westbrooks-Taylor sang a duet "When You Wish Upon a Star" followed by all students ending the program with "The Hotdog Dance."
