The California High School Class of 2013 marched into the First Baptist Church Family Life Center for the traditional Baccalaureate Service on Wednesday, May 15, to the traditional "Pomp and Circumstance." Family and friends filled the facility for the service sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance.

In addition to the main speaker, the Rev. Jeremy Barnard, pastor of Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, several local pastors took part in the service. Barnard's message was "Success Defined" in which he utilized II Timothy 4:6-8 to explain what true success is.

"Everyone wil experience a failure in one way or another," Barnard said. "When you have nothing else, Christ is always present.

"We look forward to seeing what you do and what you will accomplish and we look forward to seeing what God will do through you."

Following the message, all graduates present were introduced and presented small gifts by the California Kiwanis Club.
