H & R Block prizes awarded

Contest prizes were awarded by the California H & R Block business on Thursday, May 23.

According to owner Paul Gostomski, this is the second year for the contest for recruitment of new clients by current clients.

The contest was held at each of the four business locations owned by Gostomski in California, Eldon, Tipton and Versailles.

Office Manager Rhonda Russell said the referrals had to be a new client. Katie Dettenwanger received a $50 check for being referred by Scott Elley. He received a 19-inch HD LCD television for referring Dettenwanger for a tax return or free second look during the tax season referral program.

Gostomski has been a franchise owner of H & R Block for 17 years. The business has been in California since 2003. It is located at Village Green.

During the off season, the California location is open on Tuesday and Thursday and the Tipton locatin is open Monday and Wednesday.
