Thursday, May 23, the children gathered at the Moniteau County Library at Wood place and heard the book
"Life in a Coral Reef" read.
Following the reading a the children were involved with a hands on activity where they cut out color pictures of fish, shells and other sealife and added them to a wall mural which brought the coral reef to life. The children participating were going into kindergarten through fourth grade.
The 2013 Summer Reading Club Theme is "Dig Into Reading" and the weekly theme was "Under the Sea".
Next Thursday children will will explore Geology at 6:30 p.m. at the library.
