Red ribbons are displayed throughout California in support of Tipton Cardinal football player Chad Stover, 16, son of Ken and Amy Stover, who was injured during Tipton's district football game against Sacred Heart Thursday night at Sedalia. Students at California High School wore red to school Monday to show their support, and the varsity football team plans to dedicate California's district game today (Wednesday) to Chad. CHS junior football player Ramiro Garcia said, "We are all kind of like brothers. If it was one of our guys, we would be behind him 100 percent." Junior football player Drew Norton added, "We want to show support from our football team and community." CHS Athletic Director Bob Staton said, "We're like extended family. Tipton is just 12 miles from California."
