California High School is hosting ACT Workshops during the 2013-14 school year to help current juniors and seniors prepare for the ACT Test.
The next workshop will be held 5:45-7:45 p.m. today (Wednesday) for the Math and Science portions of the ACT Test.
CHS teacher Dana Barr is the instructor for the workshops for the English/Reading sections of the ACT, scheduled for Oct. 23 and Nov. 20. CHS teachers Amy Kuebler and Peggy Huhmann are the instructors for the workshops for the Science Reasoning/Math portions, which are scheduled for Nov. 6 (science only) and Dec. 11 (math only).
For this to be effective, students should ideally attend all sessions for either the English/Reading or the Math/Science Reasoning Workshops and then take the ACT Test. Instruction, practice, and simulated testing will be provided.
Students attending a workshop must purchase a work book for $21. If attending both workshops, both work books will be needed at a total of $42. Students must have possession of the work book in order to attend the workshops.
