Road work

Cole County

• Route B over the Osage River bridge north of St. Thomas - Bridge rehabilitation work is complete. Occasional lane closures are still possible for the next few weeks in order to paint the bridge.

• Route B between Lower Bottom Road and Route 133 in Osage County - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Ellis Boulevard over U.S. 54 - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday, Oct. 10. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Boone County

• Stadium Boulevard at Interstate 70 - Construction of a diverging diamond interchange continues. Bernadette Drive will be closed at Stadium Boulevard from 12 a.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Thursday for pavement replacement. Occasional lane closures are planned for Stadium Boulevard and Interstate 70 during the nighttime hours during the week.

Motorists are advised to slow down and pay attention to trucks entering and leaving the construction area. Construction is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2014.

• I-70 Drive Southeast, west of Purdy Lane - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday. The roadway will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

• I-70 Drive Southeast between Rangeline Road and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Callaway County

• Route A between I-70 and the Audrain County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route A between I-70 and the Audrain County line - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. The operation is scheduled to take place Wednesday and Thursday. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Drivers should lower their speeds through the area. Motorists should expect delays. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route YY between I-70 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route YY between I-70 and the end of state maintenance - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. The operation is scheduled to take place Wednesday and Thursday. Camden County

• Missouri 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck - Bridge replacement is nearing completion. The new bridge is open to traffic. The contractor will perform general cleanup under the bridge and prepare to start demolishing the old Hurricane Deck bridge over the next several months. The work will have little impact on traffic.

• U.S. 54 between Old Missouri 5 and the Niangua bridge - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips continues. Rumble strips will be installed on centerline and edgelines between Business 5 and the Niangua bridge during the upcoming week. This will be a moving operation. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route J over the Little Niangua River - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday, Oct. 17. Periodic lane closures and full closures of the bridge are likely as the work takes place. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Miller County

• Missouri 17 between Missouri 42 and Business Loop 44 in Pulaski County - Roadway resurfacing and widening of shoulders continues. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route D between Columbia Avenue and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, Oct. 8, through Thursday, Oct. 10. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route U between Missouri 42 and Route EE - Roadway maintenance will take place on Monday, Oct. 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route AA between U.S. 54 and Route C in Cole County - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday and Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route BB between Missouri 42 and Missouri 133 in Maries County - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Moniteau County

• Missouri 87 between Route O and I-70 in Cooper County - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips continues. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Morgan County

• Missouri 5 between Missouri 52 and the Niangua bridge in Camden County - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips is under way. The contractor has started building the new 4-foot shoulders between Missouri 135 and Route TT.

Rumble strips will be installed on the centerline and edgelines from Versailles to Route J during the upcoming week. This will be a moving operation. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• U.S. 50 at the Lamine River bridge and U.S. 50 at the Union Pacific Railroad bridge, both west of Syracuse - Bridge deck replacement is nearing completion. Final maintenance measures will be completed during the upcoming week. One lane will be open during the work.

Osage County

• U.S. 50 between U.S. 63 and Route W - Construction of new lanes continues. Much of the work is not expected to impact traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.

• Missouri 133 over Sugar Creek in Meta - Bridge maintenance will take place Wednesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
