The Russellville Middle School girls basketball teams traveled to Eugene Thursday, where both the
seventh and eighth grade teams captured a win.
The eighth grade Lady Indians defeated the Lady Eagles 37-33 in overtime. Brooke Kremer led scoring with nine points, followed by Chyan Wilkes with eight, and Anna Koestner and Madelyn Martin with six each.
Russellville's seventh grade defeated Eugene 14-4. Jayla Volkart and Madelyn Martin each scored three points.
Previously, the Lady Indians traveled to Chamois Sept. 24, where the seventh grade defeated the Lady Pirates 20-0 led by Lindsey Brandt and Chyan Wilkes with eight points each.
Russellville's eighth grade suffered a close loss to Chamois, 26-24. Madelyn Martin led Russellville with eight points, followed by Wilkes with four.
The Lady Indians played at Linn Sept. 19, where the eighth grade won 20-16 led by Madelyn Martin with 10 points. Brooke Kremer followed with four.
Russellville hosted Tuscumbia Sept. 17, where the eighth grade Lady Indians won 28-19. Madelyn Martin led scoring with 12 points, followed by Brooke Kremer with seven and Taylor Case with six.
