A ribbon-cutting for the city’s Railroad Park will be held at 4:30 p.m.

Then, hosts Moose Brothers Barbecue and The Vault will be open and alcohol will be available outside beginning at 5 p.m. and lasting until midnight.

The Cole County R-1 High School cross-country team will offer a hayride and Project Graduation will set up a washer tournament.

This is the second year for the event designed to say “thank you” to the community support for the downtown businesses.

About 300 attended last year and the businesses hope to see much higher numbers this time.

If successful, the event may continue annually, organizers said.
