Area Road Work

Moniteau County

• Missouri 87 between Route O and I-70 in Cooper County - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips continues. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

• Route K between U.S. 50 and the end of state maintenance - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday through Thursday, Oct. 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole County

• U.S. 54 at Madison Street - Application of High Friction Surface Treatment in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Sunday through Thursday. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

• Route B over the Osage River Bridge north of St. Thomas - Bridge rehabilitation work is complete. Occasional lane closures are still possible for the next few weeks in order to paint the bridge.

• U.S. 54 between U.S. 50 and Ellis Boulevard - Roadway maintenance in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday through Thursday. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Boone County

• Stadium Boulevard at Interstate 70 - Construction of a diverging diamond interchange continues. The Stadium Boulevard overpass will be closed this weekend to allow crews to put the finishing touches on the diverging diamond interchange. The overpass is scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday. At that time, the new diverging diamond interchange will be open to traffic. Traffic flow on I-70 will not be affected, and motorists will still be able to use the eastbound and westbound on and off ramps at Stadium. However, they will only be able to make right turns; they will not be able to cross over the bridge.

Motorists on Route E wanting to get to I-70 eastbound or Stadium will be detoured to Business Loop 70 West to the West Boulevard interchange. From there, they can access I-70 or use I-70 Drive SW to Beverly Drive to Bernadette to access Stadium Boulevard.

Motorists on Stadium wanting to get to I-70 westbound or Route E will be detoured to Bernadette Drive to Beverly Drive to I-70 Drive SW to the West Boulevard interchange. From there, they can access I-70 or take Business Loop 70 West to Route E.

I-70 traffic can also access Stadium Boulevard via the West Boulevard and Missouri 163 interchanges. Left turns at the West Boulevard eastbound off-ramp will not be allowed during this time period.

Widening of Stadium Boulevard continues through winter of 2014. Motorists are advised to watch for construction equipment and be aware of lane and intersection closures in the work area.

• I-70 at mile marker 114.6 - Roadway maintenance in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Wednesday and Thursday. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

• Missouri 40 overpass at I-70 - Concrete replacement will take place Monday, Oct. 21, and Tuesday, Oct. 22. The I-70 eastbound off ramp will be closed during the work. One lane on the overpass will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Missouri 163 between Stadium Boulevard and Mick Deaver Memorial Drive - Concrete replacement in the northbound lanes will take place Wednesday, Oct. 23, and Thursday, Oct. 24. One northbound lane will be open through the work area.

• Route WW at Keene Street in Columbia - Concrete replacement will take place Wednesday and Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• U.S. 63 between Route H and Route AB - Concrete repair in the northbound lanes will take place Wednesday. One northbound lane will be open through the work area.

Callaway County

• I-70 between mile markers 150 and 152 - Roadway maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place Wednesday and Thursday,. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Camden County

• Missouri 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck - The new bridge is open to traffic. The contractor will perform general cleanup under the bridge and prepare to start demolishing the old Hurricane Deck Bridge over the next several months. The work will have little impact on traffic.

• U.S. 54 at Passover Road - Roadway maintenance on the westbound off ramp will take place Monday. Crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route J over the Little Niangua River - Bridge maintenance. The bridge will be closed 24 hours a day from Monday through Thursday, Oct. 24. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Miller County

• Missouri 17 between Missouri 42 and Business Loop 44 in Pulaski County - Roadway resurfacing and widening of shoulders continues. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route D between Columbia Avenue and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, Oct. 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Morgan County

• Missouri 5 between Missouri 52 and the Niangua bridge in Camden County - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders, and installation of rumble strips is under way.

The contractor should finish up paving during the upcoming week. One lane will be closed between Missouri 135 and Route TT.

The contractor will begin placing asphalt on the shoulders between Route 135 and Route TT during the week of Oct. 21. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Osage County

• U.S. 50 between U.S. 63 and Route W - Construction of new lanes continues. Much of the work is not expected to impact traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.
