Local bands to perform at Blue Note

The Blue Note, 17 N. 9th Street, Columbia, will host two bands originating in California, Friday, Oct. 18, doors open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m.

The Brush Creek Outlaws are a modern country rock band who are sure to bring a party anywhere they go. They are a band that can be enjoyed by fans of all ages. It features Rex and Wyatt Martensen, Josh and Matt Barry and Derrick Brown, who have now been together for about a year.

The Bourbon Creek Band also originated in California. The bands founding members are Jeff Shackelford, Andy Knipp and Chad Murphy. They have played music together for the last five years.

In 2012 they added lead guitarist/vocalist Ed White, who brings a vast diversity of music background and song-writing to the group.
