Troop 120 spent last Saturday night sleeping under the stars in shelters they had built as a requirement for earning the wilderness survival merit badge.

They also built fires using only flint and steel which was not easy because of all of the rain that fell during the day. The scouts shared a supper of rabbit which they had to dress themselves before cooking.

A large bonfire was lit at night which illuminated the troop as they told stories and jokes before settling in for the long night.

The next outing is a daylong hike along brush creek.
