California's newest police officer is on the job. Officer Aaron Nichols, formerly of the Kansas City area, is a graduate of Blue River Police Academy in Independence. He has been a member of the Ashland Police Department and Saline County Sheriff's Department. He has been with the Moniteau County Sheriff's department for the last year and a half.
Nichols said he has wanted to be a police officer since he was a child and his mother was an employee of the Kansas City Police Department. His wife Lori, a Clarksburg native, is a dispatcher with Morgan County.
