Rileys and Wetzigs attend National Pedal Tractor Pulling Championship

Kent and Jennifer Riley, with Kent Jr. and Kyle and Terry and Debbie Wetzig and Kristyn returned from Mitchell, S.D., where they attended the National Pedal Tractor Pulling Championship. Kent Jr., finished sixth out of 38 in the 12 year old category pulling 610 pounds a total of 41 1/2 feet. Kristyn was eighth out of 25 contestants in the nine year old girls group pulling 185 pounds a total of 27 feet.

While in the Dakotas they went to the Black Hills to view the Crazy Horse Monument, Mount Rushmore and the Bad Lands. Vidala Thompson and Cole Schroeter friends of the Riley brothers also participated as Missouri Contestants.

Saturday the Rileys and Wetzigs attended the Cole Camp Antique Tractor Show where Kyle won the heavyweight division of the pedal pull and Kent was second and Kristyn won the 50 to 70 pound division with a full pull.

Kent Sr. took Kent Jr., Kyle and Kristen to Sedalia to the car show there they also participated in the tractor pedal pull. Kent Jr. won first place and Kyle won second place for the heavyweight division. Kristyn placed first in her weight division.
