The time is nearing for California High School football fans to once again tailgate with Central Bank.
Homecoming festivities will kick off with the parade in downtown California at 2 p.m. Friday. (Line-up will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the city pool.) The pep assembly will follow at Riley Field. The coronation will be held at approximately 6:30 p.m. at Riley Field, prior to kickoff. The CHS Student Council will host the Homecoming Dance 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the high school commons.

The California High School cross country teams competed at the Fulton Invitational Saturday, where the varsity Pintos placed eighth out of 18 teams led by Adam Burkett, who medaled in ninth place with 17:38.
The California High School varsity girls golf team participated in the Marshall Invitational Monday, where the Lady Pintos captured a win with a team score of 384.
The California High School softball teams hosted Bunceton Thursday, Sept. 19, at the California Sports Complex, where the varsity suffered a 5-1 loss to the Lady Dragons.
The California High School volleyball teams hosted Centralia Monday night at CHS, where the varsity won 25-17, 17-25 and 25-22.
The California High School JV and freshman football teams traveled to Hallsville Monday night, where the Pintos came away with two wins.
