Officer Reed takes new job

California Police Officer Lindell Reed is leaving his full-time position with the department to become a computer specialist with Huber and Associates, Inc., Jefferson City. He is not completely leaving the department, however. At the request of Mike Ward, the incoming new Police Chief, Reed has agreed to become a Reserve Officer for the department.

The department held a noon lunch in his honor on Wednesday, Aug. 28, with his fellow officers and many of the city employees stopping by to wish him well and enjoy the lunch.
