The General Federated Women's Club held its first meeting of the year Sept. 10, at the Culture Heritage Center.
The members enjoyed a tour of the center with guides Richard and Carole Schroeder and learned many interesting things about the history of the community. The club presented a donation to the Schroeders for the center in thanks for the tour.
The meeting of the club was called to order by President Patty Wells. Roll call was answered by 13 members with Wells and Carole Barbour as hostesses. The thought for the day was presented by Barbour. The next meeting will be at Burgher Haus Oct.1. Any women of the community interested in joining the club is asked to contact Wells at 573-796-3546.
