Janet Looten is the new librarian at High Point R-III School. She is originally from Versailles and currently resides there.

Looten is a graduate of College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout.

She taught at Versailles for 26 years and Eldon for seven years. She most recently substituted at Eldon, Eugene and High Point.

Looten is married to Kenneth Looten and their family inclues two children, Kevin Looten and his wife Andrea and their three children, and daughter, Kendra Looten Logue and her husband Paul, who live in Jefferson City.

In her spare time she enjoys quilting, gardening and reading.

"I really enjoy the small school atmosphere" Looten said.
