Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Cole County

• Route B over the Osage River bridge north of St. Thomas - Bridge rehabilitation work continues. Temporary traffic signals are moving traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route B between U.S. 54 and the Miller County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route M between U.S. 50 and Route B - Roadway resurfacing is complete. Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Boone County

• Stadium Boulevard at Interstate 70 - Construction of a diverging diamond interchange continues. I-70 Drive Southwest is closed between Stadium Boulevard and Knipp Street to allow crews to widen Stadium Boulevard and rebuild a portion of I-70 Drive Southwest to tie in to the new interchange. Occasional lane closures are planned for Stadium Boulevard and Interstate 70 during the nighttime hours during the upcoming week .

Motorists are advised to slow down and pay attention to trucks entering and leaving the construction area. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2014.

• U.S. 63 between Small Lane and Prathersville Road - Bridge maintenance in the southbound lanes will take place Monday and Tuesday. One southbound lane will be open through the work area.

Callaway County

• U.S. 54/63 bridges over the Missouri River - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.

Camden County

• Missouri 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck - Bridge replacement is nearing completion. The new bridge is open to traffic. The contractor will perform general cleanup under the bridge and prepare to start demolishing the old Hurricane Deck bridge over the next several months. The work will have little impact on traffic.

• U.S. 54 between Old Missouri 5 and the Niangua bridge - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips continues. One lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Cooper County

• I-70 over the Missouri River, west of Rocheport - Bridge inspection in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place the week of Sept. 23. One eastbound and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Cooper and Moniteau counties

• Missouri 87 between Route O and I-70 - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips continues. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Miller County

• Missouri 52 over Dog Creek, east of Bear School Road - Bridge maintenance will take place Wednesday and Thursday. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.

Miller and Maries counties

• Route BB between Missouri 42 and Missouri 133 - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Sept. 23, through Thursday, Sept. 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Miller and Pulaski counties

• Missouri 17 between Missouri 42 and Business Loop 44 - Roadway resurfacing and widening of shoulders is underway. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Moniteau County

• Route MM between Route F and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Thursday through Thursday, Sept. 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Morgan County

• U.S. 50 at the Lamine River bridge west of Syracuse and U.S. 50 at the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge west of Syracuse - Bridge deck replacement is nearing completion. Bridge girders will be painted at the Lamine River bridge the upcoming week. One lane will be open while the work is done in this area. Work on the railroad bridge is complete. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Morgan and Camden counties

• Missouri 5 between Missouri 52 and the Niangua bridge - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips is underway. The contractor has started building the new 4-foot shoulders between Missouri 135 and Route TT. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Osage County

• U.S. 50 between U.S. 63 and Route W - Construction of new lanes continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.
