Indians host Russellville Invitational

The Russellville Invitational was held Wednesday, April 23, at the Eldon Country Club, where the Indians finished fourth as a team with 373.

Eugene won the title with 317. New Bloomfield placed second with 358, and and Fatima third with 360. Stover placed fifth with 397; Linn sixth, 402; North Callaway seventh, 405; and Tipton eighth, 435. Crocker competed, but not as a team.

"We played a different format," Russellville Coach Zane Garr said.

Justin Menard, North Callaway, was the medalist with 73 individually. Eugene's Drew Gertiz was the runner-up with 75.

Russellville's Coy Bond and Austin Garrison participated in the Stover Invitational Thursday at Rolling Hills Country Club, Versailles, where Bond shot a 95 and Garrison carded 103.

Previously, Russellville participated in the Helias Invitational April 21 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club at New Bloomfield, where the Indians shot a team score of 422 to finish ninth overall.

Russellville was led by Levi Anderson with 102.Bond followed with 104; Devin Koestner 105; Garrison 111; and Cody Willingham 115.
