The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office are conducting a death investigation as a result of the discovery of a decomposed body found in southern Moniteau County on Saturday, Aug. 9. The body was discovered by a hunter who was scouting for deer. An autopsy performed on the body this morning revealed the remains were those of an unidentified male, approximately 30 years of age. The cause of death is still under investigation.
