Finke Theatre to open 2014/15 season Sept. 6

The Finke Theatre opens its 2014/2015 season Saturday, Sept. 6, with "A Tribute to George Strait" starring the talented Gordy and Debbie Wensel. They have performed in Branson for the past nine years and received the Duet Musical Group of the Year award for the last three years. Paul Draper, World renowned Mentalist will be at the Finke Oct. 11. You may have seen him on the History Channel or his appearances with David Copperfield.

On stage Nov. 15 you can see Wade Benson playing his Cajun Fiddle and his wife Teresa Bowe Landry with her great vocal talent. The will be featuring Cajun, classic country and western swing music. As part of the "Christmas in California" evening the Finke will have "I'll be Home for Christmas" featuring the Miller Sisters of Swing St. Louis. Some will remember their great show at the Finke a year ago.

Starting off 2015 on Jan. 17 will be the Homestead Pickers Blue Grass Band. They have taken their show of music, comedy and storytelling from Branson to Ireland and back to California. On Feb. 21 Woody and Vonnie Wright will be at the Finke with an excellent gospel performance. Twice Adopted, a family of 9 adopted children come to us straight from Branson where they have performed the last five years. They'll be at the Finke on March 21. Ronald Radford, Flamenco Guitarist comes to the stage on April 18. He has had concerts on four continents as well as playing at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Prior to ending our season in June with our annual play "Just Friends" a Jazz band playing songs of the Big Band Era will at the theatre on May 16.

It is easy to see that the 2014/2015 season is full of great talent. The Finke's mission is to bring the best entertainment possible to California.
