Formal arraignment was waived and a plea of not guilty entered in Boone County Court on Nov. 25, for Moniteau County Prosecutor Shayne Healea. Trial will be set at a later date. Arraignment was originally set for Dec. 2.
Multiple felony charges were filed against Healea in Boone County in connection with an alleged incident in Columbia at Addison's restaurant on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The charges filed include four Class C Felony charges of second degree assault, one for each of the four persons alleged to have sustained injuries in the incident, and one Class D Felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
Healea was re-elected Prosecuting Attorney on Nov. 4, with more than 90 percent of the votes cast in that race.
The defendant is free on his own recognizance.
