But that doesn't necessarily mean a higher win total.

After leading the Eagles to a 19-8 record last season, his first as head coach, Bartlett felt his players could benefit from having a tougher schedule in the regular season. Jamestown's state tournament goals were cut short last year in the district semifinals.

"Getting 20 wins is not really a goal," Bartlett said. "We totally revamped our schedule. We'll be playing at least one Class 5 school, three Class 4s and some Class 3s and Class 2s. Only half our schedule is Class 1. To tell our players to expect a 20-win season, that may be a stretch.
