United Methodist Church Christmas Cookie Sale

The ladies of the United Methodist Church, California, had a very successful cookie sale Saturday, Dec. 6, at the church fellowship hall. It is estimated they sold 70-80 dozen cookies, as well as candies, pecans and baked breads.

Twelve ladies from the church assisted with the baking this year. Frances Althoff organized the event this year.

The ladies use the funds raised to minister to families who have lost loved ones through serving a funeral dinner. They assist with organizations in need, local and abroad. The group also assist minister, Eric Moore, in any church ministry necessary.

The ladies will continue to sell pecans to raise funds. They are available at Hair West, Sally's Beauty Bar and the church office which is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Many who shopped at the cookie sale make it an annual event. Several said they come for the variety while others commented they do not have the time to bake so they come here for all their Christmas cookie needs.
