City employees treated to Christmas dinner

About 50 employees and elected officials of the City of California gathered Friday, Dec. 12, at the City Hall Meeting Room for the annual Christmas Dinner, consisting of KC Strip steaks grilled by Robert Pace, taco salad, green beans and broasted potatoes by Allen Smith, plus cobbler and ice cream.

Before enjoying the meal, Mayor Norris Gerhart informed the employees how important they are to the community and thanked them for their work.

Kyle Wirts, Water and Wastewater Supervisor, thanked the Mayor and City Council for the support given to the employees, and the special gifts of a Burgers's Smokehouse box, and a gift certificate from the California Area Chamber of Commerce given to each employee for the Christmas holiday.
