Eagles defeat Dragons at Jamestown Homcoming

Jamestown hosted Bunceton for the 2014 Jamestown C-I Homecoming Friday night, where the Eagles defeated the Dragons 73-25.

Jamestown led 20-5 after the first quarter, 44-19 at the half, and 70-20 after three quarters.

Earlier in the evening, the Bunceton Lady Dragons won the one-quarter JV girls game 9-6.

The varsity girls' game followed, which Bunceton won 62-48.

Jamestown led 16-9 after the first quarter and 29-24 at the half, however, the Lady Dragons came out in the second half to outscore the Lady Eagles 24-6 in the third quarter and 14-13 in the fourth to secure the win.

The Jamestown cheerleaders performed during halftime of the varsity boys game, and the Jamestown Sapphires Dance Squad performed a special routine for Homecoming with the Eagles basketball players.

Crowned the 2014 Homecoming King and Queen were senior Andy Thompson and sophomore Emily Scheperle, while freshman Dakota Matthews and eighth-grader Cara Scheperle (Emily's sister) were crowned the 2014 Homecoming Prince and Princess.

Jamestown will host Otterville at 6 p.m. Thursday.
