CHS 2014 Courtwarming held Friday

Seniors Sydney Deeken and Burke Brant were crowned the California High School 2014 Courtwarming Queen and King Friday night at CHS. Sydney is the daughter of Jim and Mary Beth Deeken, and Burke is the son of Sam and Barbara Brant.

Seniors Sydney Deeken and Burke Brant were crowned the California High School 2014 Courtwarming Queen and King Friday night at CHS. Sydney is the daughter of Jim and Mary Beth Deeken, and Burke is the son of Sam and Barbara Brant.

The 2014 California High School Courtwarming was held Friday night at the high school, where the Pintos pocketed three wins against Tipton, while Sydney Deeken and Burke Brant were crowned queen and king, and Katie Imhoff and Gavin Pickering were crowned princess and prince. The 2013 Courtwarming royalty, queen Ana Strickfaden and king Jason Wolverton, and princess Jasmine Wells and prince Jaden Barr were present to pass on their crowns.

California's varsity boys defeated the Cardinals 59-38. The JV Pintos also won, 59-49, as did California's freshmen, 46-24.

Halftime entertainment for the evening included a scrimmage by local Special Olympics athletes, and performances by the CHS Drumline and the CHS Dance Squad and cheerleaders.
