Moniteau County 911 board meets

The Moniteau County 911 Emergency Dispatch Board met Jan. 16 and approved the Dec. 12 minutes.

The board approved a CCA proposal for epoxy flooring in the amount of $7,585.25. The proposal was sought by Administrator Corey Sullivan because of the need for a more durable floor surface in the dispatch room, hallway, kitchen, front lobby area and restroom.

Sullivan, under the administrator's report, announced the re-hiring of John Strickfaden part-time on Jan. 7. He also met Jan. 14 with representatives of Huber and Associates to discuss the IT, update virus protection and server backup. A plan for disaster recovery is also being worked on.

Sullivan plans to meet with Centurylink concerning the 911 phone system and possible upgrades to compliance with NexGen.

According to the treasurer's report, sales tax received was $53,938.28. The MMDA account balance as of Jan. 15 was $335,417.38. The CD balance was about $72,000 as of Oct. 31.

The total payroll was: Dec. 19 - $8,638.47 and Jan. 16 - $8,370.15. Overall payroll taxes were $8,610.46. Total accounts payable approved at the meeting amounted to $31,825.84.

The next monthly meeting is 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the 911 Center.
